Mr. Aaron Luzis

Mr. Aaron M. Luzis, 42, of Pittsfield, MA, passed away on Monday, March 24, 2025 at Albany Medical Center with his Mother and Sister holding his hands. Although Bacterial meningitis took him from this world and his family, Aaron was able to fulfill his wish for organ donation, sending successful miracles to 4 families. He will forever be a true Hero. Born in Pittsfield, MA on July 23, 1982, son of David and Sandra Delphia Luzis, he graduated from Pittsfield High School with the class of 2000. For the part of his career, Aaron was employed by Berkshire Medical Center, where he worked in their Environmental Services department, as Aaron was a cleaning fanatic and took great pride in his work. Prior to that he was employed at Kimball Farms Walker Street for 7 years, where he worked in the dietary department, with a focus on their life enrichment Residents. Among many things, Aaron enjoyed reading and listening to Podcasts based on dark fantasy, true crime and history. Aaron loved hiking and being outdoors with his dog Cricket the dachshund and his niece Rosie the red heeler. He was an avid video game player that taught his nephews online safety and left them a window into his world with his account Aaronforever. He cared for his animals especially Cricket who traveled miles in his arms, his cat Tia and faithfully helped his mother with her love of feeding the birds and the squirrels. Uncle Air Bear loved spending time with his two nephews Luzis and Atticus where they could talk for hours in endless detail about movies, shows, and games. May you now rest in peace, Son, Brother, Uncle, Best Friend, Friend and Fur baby Dad. You are more than deserving. Aaron was predeceased by his father David Michael Luzis. He is survived by his mother Sandra E. Luzis, her partner William “Skip” Trong, his sister Jennifer A. Luzis, and his nephews Luzis and Atticus Brown. He also leaves behind many Aunts, Uncles, and cousins as his mother Sandra was 1 of 9 children and his father David was 1 of 2 children. Funeral Notice: Funeral services for Mr. Aaron M. Luzis will be Friday April 4, 2025 with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9am at Saint Joseph's Church, celebrated by the Msgr. Michael A. Shershanovich, Pastor. Calling hours will be Thursday April 3, 2025, from 4pm to 6pm at Dwyer Funeral Home, 776 North St, Pittsfield MA, 01201. In lieu of flowers, donations in Aaron’s memory can be made to Hinsdale, MA Berkshire Wildlife Services in care of the Dwyer Funeral Home.
