Mrs. Ann Patricia Wilkinson

Mrs. Ann Patricia Pigott Wilkinson, 87, of Pittsfield, passed away peacefully at home on Friday evening, November 10, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Pittsfield on March 21, 1930 the daughter of William and Margaret Grogan Pigott, she was a graduate of St. Joseph High School. Ann was a devoted wife and mother who loved her family dearly. She was a true Matriarch. Ann was very proud of her Irish heritage and instilled that in her children. There was always Irish music playing in her home, especially in the month of March. She was a housewife and mother for many years and when those duties were done, she continued to care for others as a personal care attendant and volunteer for Hospice. She may have had 7 children, but she was a “Mom” to many, many more. She will be sadly and forever missed by her loving husband of 67 years George and her surviving children, William (Elizabeth) Wilkinson, George (Joan) Wilkinson, Mary Wilkinson, Ann (Joseph) Murray and Colleen (Chris) Bergdoll. Ann was predeceased by her two eldest sons, Jack (Tracy) Wilkinson and Michael (Linda) Wilkinson. She was an adored “Nonnie” to her eight grandchildren, Sean, Matthew, Molly, Marc, Billy, Michael, Emily, Tim and her 6 great grandchildren, Parker, Brady, Ethan, Fynnegean, Kynnslea and Kashlynn. She also leaves behind her siblings, Christopher Pigott, James Pigott, Rose Beaudin, Margaret Pravia and Al Pigott; sisters in law, Josephine Pigott and Patricia Pigott and her cousin, Bridget Howe. Ann’s brothers, Joseph Pigott and William Pigott were waiting for her in Heaven. Ann’s family would like to thank and recognize her wonderful caregivers, Hospice staff and volunteers. Funeral Notice: Funeral services for Mrs. Ann P. Wilkinson will be Wednesday, November 15, 2017, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 am at St. Charles Church, celebrated by Rev. A. Peter Gregory, Pastor Emeritus. There will be a reception following the service. Burial will be at a later date. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to HospiceCare in the Berkshires, care of the Dwyer Funeral Home, 776 North St., Pittsfield, MA 01201, in her memory.
