Mr. Donald A. Quadrozzi

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Donald A. Quadrozzi, who peacefully left us on March 29, 2025, at the age of 85, surrounded by his family. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Donald’s life was shaped by love, laughter, and an unwavering dedication to his family. Born in Pittsfield, Donald was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Philomena (Carnevale) Quadrozzi, and his five siblings: Thomas, Frank, Richard, Gloria, and Jean. While he will be dearly missed, his memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved him. He was a cherished husband to his wife, Nora, with whom he shared 65 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they built a life full of love, raising three sons—Kevin, Jeffrey, and David (daughter-in-law Darcy)—and were blessed with grandchildren Erin, Cameron, Liam, and Owen. Donald also took great pride in being a grandfather to his beloved granddogs, Boomer, Brandy, and Chance, with whom he shared a special bond. Donald had a successful career as a Design Draftsman at General Electric, where he worked for many years before retiring from General Dynamics. His dedication extended beyond his profession; he was also a committed member of the Elks Club for 30 years and proudly served in the Army Reserve from 1963 to 1969. A proud graduate of Pittsfield High School (Class of 1956) and a member of the second graduating class at Berkshire Community College, Donald always valued education and was a lifelong learner. Donald had a deep love for his New England sports teams and treasured the winters he spent in Florida with Nora. He also had a great appreciation for travel, always eager to explore new places and create lasting memories. One of his greatest joys was attending his grandchildren’s sports games, where he cheered them on with enthusiasm and pride, creating special memories with each game. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Mount Carmel Nursing Home for the exceptional care, compassion, and love they showed to Donald during his final days. Funeral Notice: Calling hours will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Dwyer-Wellington Family Funeral Home, located at 220 East Street, Pittsfield, MA 01201. Funeral services for Donald will be Friday, April 4, 2025, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 1pm at Sacred Heart Church, located at 191 Elm St, Pittsfield, MA 01201, celebrated by the Rev. Christopher Malatesta, Pastor of St. Agnes Church. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, a cause close to Donald’s heart.
