Mr. Isaac Kofi Akor

Mr. Isaac Kofi Akor died unexpectedly on November 8th, 2025, after a long illness, at his residence. The family is deeply saddened and shocked by his sudden death. Mr. Isaac Kofi Akor was born on December 26th, 1961, to Mr. Ebenezer Akor Kofi and Theresa Efua Essien, blessed memory. Mr. Isaac Kofi Akor is survived and missed by his loving wife Benedicta Esi Akor and his children, Ms. Evelyn Akor, Ms. Lorraine Akor, Mrs. Priscilla Akor Kesseh, Ms. Edith Kassandra Akor, Mr. Isaac Agya Akor, Dr. Philomena E. Akor Azure, Ms. Evert Akor, Ms. Natasha Akor, Ms. Matilda Akor, Ms. Nikki Akor, Mrs. Anita Akor Yeboah, Mr. Isaac Kofi Akor Jnr, Ms. Sonia Abigail M.E. Akor, Ms. Lynda Akor. His memory lives on with his brothers and sisters, Ms. Rosamond Akor, Mrs. Annie Akor Amakye, Mr. Ebenezer Akor, Mrs. Mercy Sarpey, Ms. Dora Annan, Mr. Samuel Leslie Mayne, Dr. Sam Adjaye Kwofie, Mr. Francis Adjaye Kwofie, Emmanuel Adjaye Kwofie, Matilda Solomey, Sabrina Adjaye Kwofie, Dr. Benjamin Afful, Nancy Asare, Regina Williams, Dr. Roseanne Amartey, Rev. Mr. Isaac Kofi Akor was born in Axim in the Western region of Ghana where he attended Anglican School for his Middle School Leaving Certificate and grew up in an area known as Lower Town, a suburb of Axim. He later moved to Half Assini in the Western region. He attended Half Assini Secondary School where he successfully obtained his GCE O’level certificate. Having completed his secondary five education, he had a job with Ghana Commercial Bank, Half Assini branch, where he worked for a couple of years. He moved back to Axim where he eventually met his fiancé, then moved to his family house to start a family life of his own. Whilst enjoying his family life, he went back to Kwame Nkrumah Secondary School, formally known as Nsein Secondary School, for his A’ level certificate and eventually ended up at the University of Ghana, Legon. Some of his greatest joy came from his siblings and children. They created many memories while enjoying trips as a family, visiting many places in Ghana. He took an active role in the lives of his children, teaching and helping them with their schoolwork. He loved to spend afternoons with his children and siblings at the beach front. He loved playing beach soccer with friends and taking his children camping or for ice cream treats. He was a very loving father, and we will all miss his sense of humor. Mr. Isaac Kofi Akor had many professions throughout his life. He worked in many places: commercial banks, Axim fishing harbor as a clerk, and was a foreman for a few home builders in both Axim and Half Assini. Isaac had an unquenchable thirst for knowledge. He often spent his spare time researching topics of interest or reading books. He enjoyed watching Accra Hearts of Oak, his favorite soccer team, and was an avid New England football fan. He enjoyed doing puzzles and whenever surrounded by company you could be sure he would seize the opportunity for a game of canasta. You could be sure he is playing canasta in heaven with his parents. Isaac loved driving and never turned down a good road trip. Isaac was never scared to take on new opportunities and did everything with honesty and integrity. He had very strong values and was well liked by everyone, mostly due to his positive energy. Isaac had incredible patience and always made time to help others. He would say it all comes back to us. His legacy will carry on forever reminding us that we control our attitudes. We choose to live a life of meaningful acts of love and service, like Christ modeled for us. Isaac’s compassion, dedication, and unwavering commitment to improving children’s lives will be his enduring legacy. He will be deeply missed by the family, colleagues, and all whose lives he touched. There are no words that can express how grateful and blessed we are to the children who were there for us on the night of his passing. Also, a heartfelt thank you to his beloved wife and his children who were at his bedside for that crucial moment before he passed on. Isaac, we miss you and we will always love you. You are gone but your soul is in our midst. We were not ready to say goodbye, but we know you are at peace, and that brings us comfort. Rest in peace, brother.
