Kathleen "Kathy" Marchisio

It is with great love, and sorrow that we announce that Kathleen “Kathy” M. Marchisio 75, of Dunedin, Florida passed away quietly Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at the Sun Coast Hospice Center in Palm Harbor, Florida. Born in Pittsfield, MA July 14, 1942 the daughter of the late Daniel and Marion Gaul (Cheney), She graduated from Pittsfield High School in 1960. In her lifetime she completed several certificate level courses at Cornell University as well as Berkshire Community College. Kathy spent many years working in the supermarket industry first for the former Adams Supermarket and then with the Big Y, holding a variety of capacities including department and store management positions. After leaving the markets she worked in the housing industry first for Berkshire County Housing Authority and then finishing her career as a property manager for Beacon Properties of Boston, MA. She was a member of the VFW Post 2550 in Dunedin Florida as well as a member of the American Legion and Elks Club in Pittsfield MA. In retirement, she enjoyed traveling to many places including Alaska, Arizona, the Caribbean and twice venturing through the Panama Canal en route to Mexico. Additionally, she loved spending time with her family, her many grandchildren and friends in both Pittsfield and Dunedin. All will miss her warm smile, wonderful laugh, and her sense humor. She leaves her husband Lawrence E. Marchisio of Dunedin, Florida and Pittsfield, MA whom she married on September 21st, 1998 in Lake George, NY. Having reunited in 1985 the couple has been together for 32 years. In addition to her husband, Kathy Is survived by her 6 children. Donald Kirchner Jr and wife Lisa of Peru, MA, Scott E. Kirchner and wife Bonnie, Lauren Daniels and husband Charles, Marla Denise, and Laura McConnell of Pittsfield, Gina Romeo and husband Dale of Lenox. Additionally, she leaves her Grandchildren Joseph Ramirez, Megan Daniels, Colby, Conner, Isla, and Layla Kirchner, Angelo and Bobby Romeo, Daniel & Natalie McConnell and Christian and Shannon Kennedy. She was predeceased by her Grandson Nicholas Daniels. She also leaves 6 Great Grandchildren and a 7th on the way. Additionally, She leaves behind 3 brothers and two sisters. Daniel Gaul (Caroline) of St Petersburg, Fl, Patricia Gaul of Largo, Fl, Linda Davis of Jacksonville, Fl, Joseph Gaul (Veera) of Greenville, SC, and Thomas Gaul (Natalie) of Brockton, MA. She was predeceased by her brother Michael Gaul of Largo, Fl. It was Kathy’s desire to have her remains donated to Science Care of Florida. This organization works with some of the world’s most prestigious and well-respected medical schools, research hospitals and medical device companies to help support the training of physicians and surgeons. They assist with the development of new medical products, procedures, and treatments. Kathleen “Kathy” M. Marchisio 75, of Dunedin, Florida passed away on January 24, 2018 in Palm Harbor, Florida. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 10 a.m. at St. Charles Church celebrated by Rev. A. Peter Gregory, Pastor Emeritus. There will be a reception to follow.
