Ms. Kathryn Danis

Kathryn Danis, 89, of 176 Columbus Ave, Pittsfield, MA, passed away on December 22, 2020 at Berkshire Medical Center Born in Pittsfield, MA, on September 25, 1931, she was the eldest of twelve children, born to the late Edward and Stella Pisiewski Sadlowski. Kathryn attended Pittsfield High and graduated in 1950. Ms. Danis was employed by the former Eaton Paper Company, Nichols Pharmacy for more than 20 years, and worked for the law offices of Aaronson and Fuster until her retirement in 1995. Kathryn was the true matriarch of her family. She enjoyed spending time with them and loved to host family gatherings for holidays and birthdays, which always included great food, love and laughter. She also enjoyed having weekly sleepovers with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her family looked forward to receiving their “Happy Birthday” phone call every year and everyone who knew her will certainly miss her always chipper “Heellooo” when ever you called her. When she wasn’t spending time with her family Kathryn was an avid reader of British mysteries and also enjoyed watching them on television along with all the classic movies. Over the years Kathryn often frequented the Polish picnics in the area and loved to polka. Ms. Danis is survived by her three loving children, Donna Farnham of TN, Kathleen Reardon of Pittsfield and Scott Danis and his wife MaryJo of Lee. She will be greatly missed by her nine grandchildren and their spouses: Jennifer Harrington and her husband Nicholas, Rebecca Meaney and her husband Jason, Ryan Tetlow and his wife, Shelley, Brent Danis and his wife Sharon, Shane Danis and his wife Donna, and Kyssara Keimi-Nunley and her husband, Josh, Clarke Farnham, Connor Farnham and his wife Analise, and Kayla Jones. She leaves behind 11 great grandchildren, Christopher Tetlow, Kathryn, Jacob and Nicholas Harrington, Colin and Joshua Meaney, Kamron and Boston Tetlow, Nathan and Alicia Danis and Evelyn Keimi-Nunley. She is survived by her 9 brothers and sisters, Edward Sadlowski (OH), Eugene Sadlowski (Lynne),(CA), Patricia Huffman (WA), Lorraine Hodge(Larry),(TX), David Sadlowski (AL), Theresa Trainor (William), (FL), Christine Deno (Don),(FL), Margaret Sadlowski and Ken Sadlowski (Karen), both of Pittsfield, MA. Kathryn also leaves behind many dear nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Virginia Manning in 2020 and MaryAnn Sadlowski in 1942. With Kathryn it was always love. She loved unconditionally and made everyone feel like family. She had a beautiful, kind heart and those stunning blue eyes that all who met her would comment on. The world has truly lost a gift from God, but has gained a beautiful angel. We have been truly blessed to have her in our lives. Spoczywaj W Pokoju (Rest In Peace). Funeral Notice: A celebration of Kathryn’s life will be held in the spring, when Covid restrictions are lifted and all are able to safely gather together.
