Mr. Shawn R. Ouillette

Mr. Shawn R. Ouillette, 62, of Pittsfield, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 28, 2025. Born in Caribou, Maine on November 6, 1962, son of the late Richard and Theresa Marquis Ouillette, he graduated as salutatorian from Caribou High School with the class of 1981. Shawn continued his education at The University of Maine in Orono where he earned his bachelor's degree in Management. He started his managerial career with Ames Department Stores, relocating him to Berkshire County. Shawn was employed by Excelsior Integrated for over 31 years, where he recently became CEO. Among many things, Shawn enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting, fishing, and skiing. He was a lifelong Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots fan. He also loved listening to music of many genres, especially artists such as Bruce Springsteen and Alan Jackson, always attending many concerts. He spent many summers on the beaches of Maine and Rhode Island, never turning down a craft beer or seafood dinner. There was no activity he didn’t love doing, as long as he was surrounded by his friends and family, he was truly happy. Most of all, he loved spending time with his furry best friend, Whaler. Shawn is survived by his beloved wife of 34 years, the former Julie Giacoletto, whom he married July 7, 1990. He leaves behind his daughters, Casey Grimes (Sean) and Lily Ouillette, as well as his siblings, Gail Langley (Jon), Mark Ouillette (Gwen), Robert Ouillette (Judy), Sharon Wall, and Michelle Mistler (Paul). Shawn is also survived by his mother-in-law, Pauline Giacoletto, sister in-law Audrey Dobrowolski (Bill McMahon), brother in-law Jeffrey Giacoletto (Kathy), and many nieces and nephews, all of whom he loved dearly. Shawn was predeceased by his mother and father, Richard & Theresa Ouillette, his brother Glen Ouillette, and father-in-law Jimmie Giacoletto. Shawn will forever be remembered by his infectious smile, his funny dad jokes and his enthusiasm for life. Funeral Notice: Funeral services for Shawn R. Ouillette will be Wednesday, May 7, 2025, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11am at St. Ann Church in Lenox, MA, celebrated by the Rev. CJ Waitekus, . A time of visitation at the church will be directly prior to the service, from 9:30am to 11am.
