Victoria L. Deschamps

Victoria L. (Sinopoli) Deschamps passed away on June 18, 2022, just months after her 63rd birthday, surrounded by her loving family. Vicki was the daughter of John G. Sinopoli and Shirley Hancock, and was raised by John G. and Nina M. Sinopoli. Born in Pittsfield, MA, on April 4, 1959, she attended Pittsfield schools and graduated in 1977. Other than her four years in the U.S.Army at Ft. Rucker Alabama, Vicki lived her entire life in her beloved hometown. After her tour in The Army, Victoria was Executive Assistant to The CEO at Unistress. She later worked for Joseph Francese in an admin capacity, and for The Town of Lanesboro School Department. Victoria was most recently employed by the State of Massachusetts where she connected disabled people with services or jobs. She dedicated her fierce determination to help others there for many years. Vicki was a member of Polish Falcon’s Nest 580. Vicki enjoyed shopping, especially for clothes. When she found an item of clothing that really “suited” her fancy, she would buy one in every color. She was very particular and took pride in the way that she dressed. She also enjoyed watching football. Among her many creative endeavors, Vicki particularly enjoyed working in her perennial gardens, and was always very generous, sharing her many floral treasures with other gardeners. She also loved cooking, making both new and traditional recipes, and was known to drop by friends and family with a jar of soup, or if she really liked you, her famous rice pudding. She also loved to bake Pizzelles. Recently, her most beloved pastime was spending time with her two grandchildren, cheering on Carter when he was bowling or playing Little League Baseball, or playing with Lilian. Victoria is survived by her two daughters, Sarah Adelaide Deschamps, and Katherine Dominica Deschamps, parents John G. and Nina M. Sinopoli, brothers John M. Sinopoli, Jeffrey R. Sinopoli, and David J. Sinopoli, grandchildren Carter Deschamps and Lilian Shaw, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was predeceased by her birth mother Shirley Hancock. Vicki had a huge heart and was never happier than when she could bring you the perfect homeade meal or find you the perfect birthday present. She had the gift of making lifelong friends in even the toughest of circumstances. She was loved by many and will be dearly missed, especially by dear friends Marianne Lavigne and Barbara Sinopoli. Funeral Notice: Calling Hours for Ms. Victoria L. Deschamps will be Friday, July 1, 2022, from 4 PM to 6 PM, at Dwyer Funeral Home, 776 North Street, Pittsfield, MA. 01201 followed by a Funeral Service officiated by the Rev. Christopher Malatesta, Pastor of St. Agnes Church, at 6 PM, at the Dwyer Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to The American Cancer Society.
