Mr. Alexander William Gluza, 70, of Pittsfield, passed away on Thursday, November 26, 2020. Born in Pittsfield, MA, on August 8, 1950, he was the son of the late Stanley Gluza and Margaret M. Clement Ostrander. Alex was a talented craftsman and a skilled mechanic. He enjoyed restoring classic cars and driving a limousine. Alex was passionate about music, cars, and nature. He never met a stranger and always had a story to share. Alex married Joan E. Knapp in 1978 and they had three daughters together. They were married over 25 years. Besides his daughter, Taylor Ruhl, Alex is survived by his daughters, Devon and Rebecca, his brother, Stanley J. Gluza and sister, Teresa Garofoli, and his grandchildren, Abigail and Nicholas Ruhl. He was predeceased in death by his daughter, Ashley Gluza, his mother, Margaret Ostrander, his father, Stanley Gluza, his brother, Jan Gluza. Funeral Notice: There will be no formal funeral services for Mr. Alexander W. Gluza. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Wildlife Conservation Society in care of the Dwyer Funeral Home, 776 North St., Pittsfield, MA 01201 in his memory.
