Mr. Anthony P. Patrick

July 19, 1995 - September 1, 2020

Mr. Anthony Purnell Patrick, 25, of Pittsfield, passed unexpectedly at home Tuesday, September 1, 2020. Born in Pittsfield on July 19, 1995, the son of Michael Patrick and Dawn Harrington Schafer, he graduated from Taconic High School in 2012 where he was enrolled in the carpentry program. He won the Leadership Award from Silvio Conte in 2006 entitling him to mentorship and sponsorship which he received throughout his middle and high school years. Anthony was most passionate about family and friends, being around the people he loved. Music and gaming were his favorite hobbies. He loved it when it rained especially if thunder and lightning was involved. He loved to dance and sing and laugh and chase the kids around, making everyone smile. He was fiercely loyal and had a Heart of Gold. He is desperately missed by all who knew him. Besides his parents, Anthony is survived by his son Logan, his paternal grandmother Yvonne Patrick and maternal grandparents Clayton and Brenda Harrington as well as his great grandmother Evelyn Harrington, brothers Clayton Patrick and Mark Schafer, and his sister Shayna Schafer. He had so many aunts and uncles, cousins, neices, nephews and friends that we can't name them all but they all loved him dearly and were loved in return. He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather Clarence Purnell and his maternal grandmother Judith Ann Campbell. They were among Anthony's beloved and are no doubt with him now. Funeral Notice: Public calling hours for Mr. Anthony Purnell Patrick will be Thursday, September 10, 2020 from 3 PM to 6 PM at the Dwyer-Wellington Funeral Home, 220 East Street, Pittsfield, MA 01201. Funeral services for Anthony will be private. Because homelessness was an issue he cared deeply about, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the First United Methodist Church and the new homeless shelter in care of the Dwyer-Wellington Funeral Home in his memory. Donations CANNOT be made online, but may be made through the Dwyer-Wellington Funeral Home.
