Mrs. Antoinette "Toni" V. DeMar Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mrs. Antoinette (Toni) V. DeMar, 81, of Pittsfield, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 19, 2021. Born in Pittsfield, MA, on January 2, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Natalina (Stracuzzi) Stracuzzi. She graduated from Pittsfield High School as a Pro-Merito honors student in 1958. Antoinette’s family was of utmost importance to her, and she strove to see that all of their needs were met with nothing but love and care. Among many things, she enjoyed walking, watching movies, spending time with her family, collecting dolls, and walking her dog, Chippy. Antoinette was a proud Catholic and led a life of faith, which was her top priority. She rooted her life in this faith and raised her family accordingly. Antoinette is survived by her beloved husband of fifty-six years, Francis DeMar, whom she married on the 30th of May of 1964 and were the first couple to be married in Mount Carmel’s lower church. She leaves behind her children Joseph DeMar and Maria Clark, as well as her sisters Rosanne Paris, Natalie Struble, and Concetta Stracuzzi-Rochelo, her brother Vincent Stracuzzi, her grandchildren Vanessa Clark, Elizabeth DeMar, Gianna DeMar, and Spencer DeMar, and her great-grandchild, Cayden. Antoinette joins her son, Robert DeMar, her grandson, Lucas DeMar, and her dog, Chippy, in heaven. Funeral Notice: A private Liturgy of Christian Burial for Mrs. Antoinette V. DeMar was held at St. Charles Church, celebrated by the Rev. John Tuohey, Pastor.
