Mrs. Janice V. Hunt Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Our much-loved mom and grandma, Janice V. Hunt, is now with her beloved husband, Bobby, in heaven. Born on August 2, 1937, the daughter of the late Wilford and Claire LeMoine Gordon, she was educated in the Pittsfield Public Schools. Janice’s family was of utmost importance to her. She was a dedicated homemaker, making sure that their needs were met with nothing but love and care. In the 70s, Janice’s family moved to Bennington, VT, and she opened a uniform store where she worked for many years. Among many things, she loved playing a round of golf, reading, and cooking. Janice was always up for a cruise vacation with her girlfriends. Janice was predeceased by her beloved husband of 52 blessed years, Bobby Hunt, whom she married on March 13, 1955. Bobby passed away April 24, 2007. She is survived by her son, James R. Hunt, Jr., and her daughter, Donnalynn Pisani (Ralph). She leaves her three grandchildren, Christine, Jamie, and Tommy, her siblings, Dustin and Carol, as well as many dear nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, Janice was predeceased by her siblings, Glenn, Lester, Douglas, and Lois. Funeral Notice: Funeral services for Mrs. Janice V. Hunt will be Tuesday, January 25, 2022, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, celebrated by the Rev. A. Peter Gregory, Pastor Emeritus of St. Charles Church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Due to the recent rise in Covid cases, to best ensure everybody’s health, all who attend these services will be required to wear a face mask. A celebration of Janice’s life will be held at a later date, when Covid restrictions are lifted, and all are able to safely gather. In lieu of flowers, donations in Janice’s memory can be made to the ASPCA in care of the Dwyer Funeral Home.
