Jason T. Duquette, 48, of Pittsfield, passed away on Sunday, September 26, 2021, after a brief yet courageous battle with cancer. Born in Pittsfield, MA, on March 7, 1973, the son of Donald Duquette and the late Jane Trela Duquette, he graduated from Mount Greylock high school in 1991 and later earned his associate's degree in Environmental Science from Berkshire Community College. For much of his career, Jason worked as a 423 Union Laborer. He was employed by J.H. Maxymillian Inc., where he most recently worked on the rebuilding and extension of the Ashuwillticook Rail Trail. Among the many things he enjoyed was hiking and ice fishing. Jason was meticulous about the maintain of his home and garden. He was also passionate about his Harley Davidsons, the Bruins and the Cowboys. Jason leaves behind his wife, the former Lisa Massery, as well as his treasured stepdaughter, Sonya. He is survived by his father, Donald Duquette and his wife, Carol Duquette. Jason also leaves behind his brother, Peter Duquette (Jennifer), stepsisters, Michele Basiliere, Jennifer Markham, and Kara Rogers, as well as his uncle, Nicholas Trela, and nieces and nephew, Tori Jackson, Tyler Duquette, and Paytn Duquette. Jason was predeceased by his mother, Jane Helen Trela Duquette, his maternal grandmother, Helen Haroszy Trela, his maternal grandfather, Casimer Trela. He was also predeceased by his paternal grandmother Marguerite Henneberry Duquette, and his paternal grandfather, Donald C. Duquette. Jason will be sorely missed, but his memory will live on through all of the many lives that he has touched. Funeral Notice: Funeral services for Jason Trela Duquette will be Thursday, October 7, 2021, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, celebrated by the Msgr. Michael A. Shershanovich, Pastor. Burial will follow at St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Adams, MA. Calling hours will be Wednesday, October 6, 2021, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m at the Dwyer Funeral Home, 776 North Street, Pittsfield MA 01201. To best ensure everyone's health, due to the recent rise in Covid cases, all who attend these services will be required to wear face masks.
