Mr. Kevin P. Wixsom, 63, of Pittsfield, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 16, 2021. Born in Pittsfield, MA, on October 2, 1957, the son of the late John Harding and Adeline Wixsom, Kevin was raised by his aunt and uncle, Russell and Mildred (Sayres) Wixsom. He graduated from Pittsfield High School. One of Kevin's passions was theatre. He loved to act and direct, working on and appearing in many productions across Berkshire County. He also worked as a taxi driver. Among many things, Kevin enjoyed Billiards, Puzzles, Sports, Good Food and Conversation, and being a PopPop. Kevin is survived by his brother, Dennis Wixsom, and his son and daughter in-law, Corey and Michele Wixsom. He leaves his life partner of twenty-five years, Sandy Chaney, as well as his “stepson”, Ryan Chaney and his dear grandkids, Cora, Reiley, Madden and Zoey Chaney. Though Kevin will be sorely missed, his memory will live on by all of those who were blessed to have known him. Funeral Notice: Funeral services for Mr. Kevin P. Wixsom will be private. There will be a public hour of visitation on Friday, February 19, 2021 from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. at the Dwyer Funeral Home, 776 North Street, Pittsfield MA 01201. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Town Players of Pittsfield in care of the Dwyer Funeral Home, in his memory. Donations CANNOT be made online, but may be made through the Dwyer Funeral Home.
