Mrs. Patricia W. Collins Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Patricia W. Collins, 90 of Pittsfield, died July 17th at Hillcrest Commons where she had resided for the past three years. Born on February 4th 1932 in Ridgewood, New Jersey, daughter of the late Andrew G. Whalen and Phyllis Pinkney Whalen, she was a graduate of Sheffield High School and attended Berkshire Business School. She worked at Berkshire Armored Car for many years until her retirement. Pat loved to travel by boat or plane and Saint Maarten was a frequent vacation spot that held a special place in her heart. She was loyal, funny and feisty and always had time for anyone who needed a friend. She is survived by her daughter Cynthia A. Collins of Pittsfield. She was predeceased by her husband John, daughter Jacqueline and infant granddaughter Brooke. Patricia's family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff at Hillcrest Commons for their love and devotion to her throughout the years. A special thank you to all of the Unit 5 nurses and aides who were phenomenal. Many thanks to Sharon, Carol and EJ for keeping Patricia's spirits up! To her friends Rebecca Petrie and Jim Donnelly, words cannot describe the love and gratitude we have for you. Good times or bad you have always been there. Collins will be Wednesday, July 27, 2022 from 10 am to 12 noon at the Dwyer-Wellington Funeral Home, 220 East Street, Pittsfield MA 01201. Burial will be private.
