Mr. Patrick James Shepardson

August 25, 1964 - January 18, 2021

Mr. Patrick J Shepardson 56 of Pittsfield, MA, passed away unexpectedly early Monday morning, January 18, 2021. Born in Pittsfield on August 25,1964, he was the son of Bruce Shepardson and the Late Patricia McCullom Shepardson. He Graduated with the class of 1982 from Taconic High School in Pittsfield, MA. Patrick began his love of Iron Welding while in School and working on the Co-op at Berkshire Bridge and Iron though his High School. Patrick was then hired right out of high school to work full time with Berkshire Bridge and Iron and his career expanded well over 25 plus years there. After that, he opened his own company and was Owner/Operator of Black Iron Welding until his passing. Pat’s love of music started when he was young and was playing bass guitar with his brother, Brian. The love of the bass expanded, and he then furthered his knowledge, taking lessons with several talented musicians in the county. Pat’s musical talents brought him to be in several bands that played across the county, including Hot Totti, Dorian Grey, Sierra Pearl, High Rollers, Black Water, and Shepards Crossing, If Pat was not playing out in one of the bands he was in, you could see him supporting other bands, as he was in awe at how well they all played. Pat had an infectious smile, laugh, and above all a quick wit about himself. He was never shy in showing his love to his family, friends, and bandmates. Besides his father, Bruce, and step-mom Susan, Patrick is survived by his brother, Kevin Shepardson (Mary), his life partner Karen Tatro, and his wife of 27 years, JoAnn Shepardson and their children: Jason Thiede (Becky), their children, Dakotah and Emily Thiede; Daughter Theacia (Ian) Forgey and children Gabrielle Mayhew, Liam and Nora Forgey; Daughter Falicia ( Fiance Dion Coughlin)Thiede, and children Riley and Landen Kiernan, and Jaxton and Ethan Coughlin; Daughter Do- Nadel Thiede and son Cameron Fusini. He leaves his Sister-in- law, Elizabeth Shepardson (Brian) and their Children, Noah and Adam Shepardson. Patrick also leaves behind his great granddaughter, Callie Rae Brunet. Funeral Notice: A private graveside service for Patrick J Shepardson will be held at St. Joseph Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. A celebration of Pat’s life will be held at a later date, when Covid restrictions are lifted and all are able to safely gather together.
