August 6, 1962 - August 5, 2020
Ms. Tina Marie Dillard, 57, of Pittsfield, passed away at home on Wednesday, August 5, 2020, surrounded by her loving family. Her passing came just one day shy of her 58th birthday. Born in Pittsfield, MA, on August 6, 1962, she was the daughter of the late Harold Sr. and Diane Jones Richards. Tina graduated from Taconic High School, before going on to attend classes at Berkshire Community College. Tina worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant, at both Mt. Greylock and Springside Nursing Homes, dedicating more than 15 years of service to the profession. She was a devoted, attentive employee that took pride in making sure each resident felt cared for, and was a highly valued team member throughout her career. She often enjoyed taking rides and looked forward to her annual trips to Hampton Beach—the water was her place of calmness, peace, and clarity as the sun would set its reflection upon the waves. Time with her family and grandkids brought true joy to her heart. She enjoyed cooking, playing games and listening to music—always dancing to the beat of her own drum. A real-life Wonder Woman, Tina embraced those around her with an abundance of kindness and compassion. Besides her children, Brandon Dillard (Paula), Brianna Dillard and Ana-Lisa Parise, she also leaves behind her siblings Harold Richards Jr., Kesia Richards, Yvonne Richards, Renee Richards, Cheryl Richards, Timothy Richards (Wendy), Paul Kastner and Alan Kastner. Additionally, Tina leaves behind five grandchildren: Sincere Moorer, Serynity Moorer, Karissa Dellagahelfa, Jayvon Dillard and Kyla Torres, a host of nieces of and nephews, her inherited daughter, Rev. Nakeida Bethel-Smith, and her best friend, Rita Goodnow. In addition to her mother and stepfather, she was predeceased by her brother, Ronald Dillard Jr. and her biological father, Ronald Dillard Sr. The family of Tina wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff at Hematology Oncology, the staff at BMC-5 West, the Berkshire VNA and Hospice of The Berkshires, for their outstanding care throughout this difficult time.
