Mr. Dale J. Baity

Mr. Dale Joseph Baity, 59, of Summit Rd., Richmond, passed away peacefully on Wednesday November 12, 2014, at his home, surrounded by his loving family after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Born April 21, 1955 at Fort Riley, KS, he was the son of Sgt. 1st Class Joseph A. Baity and Ella Gebauer Baity. As a young boy in a career Army family he moved every couple of years between bases in the US and Germany and finally settled in Richmond after his father retired. He graduated from the Richmond Consolidated School and then from Taconic High School in 1973. Dale continued his education at BCC earning an Associate Degree in Computer Technology and remained at BCC taking almost every Computer Course that was offered. In 1998 Dale founded his own Computer Service Company, DB Consulting, serving many businesses as well as individuals in the Berkshires. Dale was very appreciative of the loyalty and friendship of his customers during his prolonged illness. He recently formed a partnership with his trusted employee Mark Newsome who will now become the new owner and continue the operation and service. Dale is survived by his mother, Ella, of Richmond; a sister Joyce Ryan and her husband Joe of Pittsfield; a sister Rosemarie Baity of Richmond; a brother Joseph Baity Jr. and his wife Lisa of Bennington; a sister Sandra Mitchell and her husband Bill of Bennington and a brother Timothy Baity and his wife Michelle of Pittsfield. He also leaves a nephew, Joseph Ryan III, a niece Kerry Mason and her husband John, Mathew Mitchell and his wife Erica, Erin Miller and her husband Josh and Jameson and Cooper Baity. He also leaves a step nephew Christopher Hessler and wife Tina and several grandnieces and nephews. Funeral Notice: Funeral services for Mr. Dale J. Baity will be Friday, November 14, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the Dwyer Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Richmond Cemetery. The family will meet friends preceding the service at 9:30 until 11 a.m. If friends desire, donations may be made to Hospice Care in the Berkshires, care of the Dwyer Funeral Home in his memory.
