Mrs. Judith A. Hoskeer

Judith A Hoskeer (nee Spazioso), of Pittsfield, MA passed away peacefully, after a long illness, on Saturday, April 29th, 2023. Daughter of Anthony J and Leonore Spazioso (Rodgers), Judy was born, raised and educated in Pittsfield, MA. She attended Catholic schools, graduating from St Joseph's High School where she excelled in math and Latin. She worked diligently throughout her life, as a switchboard operator at both the New England Telephone Company and The Berkshire Eagle, later she mapped fiber optics for Tele Resources. In retirement she enjoyed working at Michael's Craft store. She was predeceased by her husband of 40 years, Allan Hoskeer (2006) with whom she raised four daughters. She was a loving, hard-working mother, homemaker and caregiver. Judy found solace and joy in her Catholic faith. She sang Barbershop music with the Berkshire chapter of the Sweet Adelines. In addition to her beautiful singing voice, she enjoyed playing piano, reading, knitting, sewing, baking, and crafting. She loved spending time with and caring for her ten grandchildren. Her loss will be deeply felt by her daughters, Bonnie Hoskeer Kirchner (Scott) of Pittsfield, Heather Hoskeer (Alex Zarza) of Redmond, WA, Melodie Hoskeer (Eric Giansiracusa) of Pittsfield and Jodie Hoskeer of Pittsfield. She is predeceased by her son Tommy Hoskeer, whose brief life and loss were deeply felt and remembered. She leaves ten beloved grandchildren, Evan Hoskeer, Kira Litchfield, River Avanzato, Isla Kirchner, Layla Kirchner, Wyatt Giansiracusa, Brandy Giansiracusa, Sofia Giansiracusa, June Zarza-Hoskeer and Mia Zarza-Hoskeer. She leaves her sister Mary Poulin, brothers Anthony Spazioso and David Spazioso. She was predeceased by her sister Sandra Spazioso (2012). The family wishes to express their gratitude for the kind and caring staff at Craneville Place. Funeral Notice: Funeral services for Mrs. Judith A. Hoskeer will be Friday, May 5, 2023, at 12 noon at the Dwyer Funeral Home, 776 North Street, Pittsfield MA 01201. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be held prior to the service, from 10 am to 12 noon. In lieu of flowers, donations in Judith’s memory can be made to the Craneville Recreation Fund, C/O Susan Keller, or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in care of the Dwyer Funeral Home.
