Patrick "Pat" Giardina

Patrick “Pat” Francis Giardina, 65, of Pittsfield, Massachusetts, passed away unexpectedly on July 8, 2026. Born on March 17, 1961, in Pittsfield, Pat was the beloved son of Joseph and Teresa Giardina. He was the sixth of seven children in a close-knit Irish-Italian family, where love, laughter, and loyalty were at the heart of everyday life. The bonds he shared with his siblings remained a source of strength and joy throughout his life. He attended Lenox Memorial High School and remained proud of his Berkshire roots. Pat will be remembered for his infectious laugh, easygoing nature, and the genuine way he connected with everyone he met. He had a gift for making people feel welcome and leaving them smiling. For many years, Pat worked at Jimmy’s Restaurant, where he formed lasting friendships with coworkers and customers alike. His dedication, reliability, and friendly personality made him a familiar and well-liked face in the community. A lifelong Boston sports fan, Pat faithfully cheered for the Red Sox, Patriots, and Celtics. Whether watching a game with family or talking sports with friends, his enthusiasm and loyalty never faded. Pat is survived by his brothers and sisters: Matthew, John (Donna), Mary Najmy (Joe), Barbara Laughton (Richard), Joseph (Patricia), and Paul (Jeanna). He is also survived by his beloved nieces and nephews: Samuel, Isabella, Jenna, Joseph, Jesse, Desiree, Justin, Nicole, Elisabeth, Gabriella, Erica, Victoria, Phillip, Lexi, Mia, and Talia, along with extended family members and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Teresa Giardina. Pat’s sudden passing leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be remembered for the laughter he shared, the friendships he treasured, and the kindness he showed throughout his life. His memory will live on through the stories shared by family and friends, the smiles he inspired, and the many lives he touched. Funeral Notice: Funeral services for Pat will be Friday, August 21, 2026, at 3:30pm at the Dwyer Funeral Home, 776 North St, Pittsfield MA 01201. Calling hours at the funeral home will be directly prior to the service, from 1:30pm to 3:30pm.
